Around 82,000 fresh scholarships are available every year. Eligible undergraduate students receive ₹12,000 per year during the first three years. Students in the fourth and fifth years of eligible professional or integrated courses receive ₹20,000 per year, while eligible postgraduate students receive ₹20,000 per year.
Students need strong Class 12 academic performance, pursue a regular course at a recognised institution, and have an annual family income of up to ₹4.5 lakh. Applicants complete One Time Registration using Aadhaar and submit the scholarship application through NSP. Payments reach eligible students through Direct Benefit Transfer.
The official NSP currently keeps PM-USP CSSS renewal applications open until October 31, 2026. Institute verification closes on November 15, 2026, while L2 verification closes on November 30, 2026.
