The All India Council for Technical Education opens applications for the Special Scholarship Scheme for students from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for the 2026-27 academic year. The scheme supports eligible students who pursue recognised undergraduate and professional programmes outside the two Union Territories.
Students joining MBBS, BDS or equivalent medical courses can receive academic fee assistance of up to ₹3 lakh per year. Eligible students in professional programmes can receive up to ₹1.25 lakh annually. Engineering diploma holders who enter the second year through lateral admission can also receive assistance of up to ₹1.25 lakh per year.
Students pursuing general degree programmes can receive academic fee support of up to ₹30,000 annually. Beneficiaries also receive a maintenance allowance of ₹1 lakh per year, subject to scheme conditions.
Applicants must satisfy domicile, academic, income and admission-related eligibility requirements. They should review the official guidelines and complete registration through the authorised scholarship system. The scheme comes under the PM-USP Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
