NEET UG 2026 counselling continues for MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical admissions across India. The Medical Counselling Committee conducts Round 1 counselling for 15% All India Quota seats, while respective state authorities manage counselling for the remaining 85% state quota seats.
The Round 1 seat allotment result will be released on August 17, 2026, and candidates allotted seats report to their respective institutes from August 18 to August 22, 2026.
State-level NEET counselling also remains active. Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and other states conduct their counselling separately. Registration for states including Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat and Maharashtra closes on or around August 12.
