The NEET PG 2026 Round 1 counselling schedule is expected to be released soon by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). According to the report, experts project that online registration may begin between October 15, 2026, and October 20, 2026. MCC has not yet announced the final Round 1 schedule.
The official MCC PG counselling page currently states that the seat matrix from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is awaited before NEET PG 2026 counselling can begin. MCC has also issued a notice for PwD assessment for PG Round 1 2026.
The report lists October 8, 2026 to October 14, 2026 as the tentative period for seat matrix verification. Choice filling and option locking are expected to take place after registration.
MCC conducts online counselling for 50% of All India Quota postgraduate medical and dental seats. The central counselling process also covers applicable seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC and AFMS institutions.
Candidates should keep their NEET PG 2026 scorecard, admit card, MBBS degree or provisional certificate, internship completion certificate, registration certificate, valid photo ID, and applicable category or PwD certificates ready. Candidates should wait for the official MCC schedule before relying on any tentative registration date.
