IIT-Guwahati launches a new MTech program in Flood and Water Resources Management for the academic year 2025-26. This course is designed to tackle increasing water-related challenges and disasters.
The program is open to engineering and science graduates, and applicants do not need a GATE score to apply. Selection is based on academic performance, relevant background, and a written test or interview conducted by the institute.
The curriculum focuses on flood modeling, river engineering, climate impact, disaster resilience, and sustainable water solutions. It aims to create professionals ready to address regional and global water management needs.
This course is offered by the Department of Civil Engineering in collaboration with the Climate and Disaster Studies Centers.
