Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore announces the launch of its first-ever undergraduate programmes in Economics and Data Science, starting from August 2026. These full-time degree courses aim to provide a strong foundation in analytical thinking, research, and industry-focused skills.
The new UG programmes will be four years long, with an option to exit after three years with a bachelor’s degree, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Admissions will be based on a national-level entrance test designed specifically for these courses.
IIM Bangalore states that the curriculum will blend core academic theory with practical learning through projects, internships, and interdisciplinary modules. These UG degrees aim to nurture future leaders in policy, analytics, and business.
