UWA aims to become the first of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight universities to establish a physical campus in India. The Mumbai site acts as the central hub, and the Chennai campus becomes part of Tamil Nadu’s Knowledge City initiative. The campuses will offer undergraduate and master’s programs in STEM, business, creative arts, and music, including courses from UWA’s Conservatorium of Music.
The plan aligns with India’s National Education Policy 2020. UWA emphasizes its long-term collaboration in agricultural, plant science, and business research.
