IIT Madras and Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) announce a ₹180 crore hydrogen innovation hub to accelerate green hydrogen research and innovation. The strategic collaboration aims to promote sustainable mobility and support India’s transition to clean energy.
The hydrogen innovation hub will be set up at the IIT Madras Research Park and will focus on hydrogen production, storage, and fuel cell technology. It will also foster academic research, industrial collaboration, and startup incubation in the hydrogen and clean energy space.
This initiative is part of Hyundai’s long-term commitment to carbon neutrality and IIT Madras’s mission to lead green energy advancements. The hub will offer training, mentorship, and funding to innovators and researchers working on scalable hydrogen solutions.
