The programme serves early- and mid-career engineers, power-sector professionals, engineering consultants, managers from EPC companies, and executives working in energy and infrastructure. Participants study reactor physics, reactor engineering, radiation shielding, nuclear safety, waste management, instrumentation and control, thermal hydraulics, quality assurance, and emergency preparedness.
The curriculum also introduces advanced nuclear technologies such as small modular reactors. IIT Hyderabad faculty members teach alongside experienced scientists and engineers from organisations under the Department of Atomic Energy.
