For the regular registration period, female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates pay INR 1,000 for one paper, while all other candidates, including foreign nationals, pay INR 2,000. The extended-period fee is INR 1,500 and INR 2,500, respectively, for one paper. The last date for registration with the late fee is October 12, 2026.
IIT Madras advises candidates to complete registration early instead of waiting until the final day. Applicants should also keep the DigiLocker account used for submission active because future GATE 2027 communications will be linked to that account.
