The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced substantial modifications to the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) 2025, aiming to enhance the examination’s efficiency and accessibility.

Key changes include:

  • Exclusive Computer-Based Testing (CBT): The CUET UG 2025 will be conducted solely in CBT mode, moving away from the previous hybrid format. This transition seeks to improve the exam’s reliability and security.
  • Flexible Subject Selection: Candidates now have the liberty to choose subjects for the CUET UG 2025 irrespective of their Class 12 coursework, promoting interdisciplinary academic pursuits.
  • Reduction in Available Subjects: The number of subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37, streamlining the examination process. Admissions for the eliminated subjects will be based on General Aptitude Test scores.
