According to the circular, schools must install CCTV cameras in all classrooms, entry and exit gates, corridors, and other key areas. The cameras should function properly during school hours, and schools must store footage for at least 30 days.
CBSE also asks schools to ensure that only authorized persons access the recordings. School heads are instructed to submit compliance reports confirming installation and operation of CCTV systems.
