Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) announces a short-term training programme on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), scheduled from July 1 to July 19, 2025. The Department of Computer Engineering organizes this 50-hour course in a hybrid format, combining both online and offline sessions. The programme includes 20 hours of theoretical lectures and 30 hours of hands-on practical training.

The course covers five modules: introduction to AI and Python basics, applied data science with Python, machine learning algorithms, deep learning for computer vision using Keras and TensorFlow, and deep learning for natural language processing. Experts from JMI, IITs, IIITs, and international universities conduct the sessions. 

The programme offers 160 seats—60 for offline participants and 100 for online attendees—allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. It is open to diploma holders, undergraduates, postgraduates, PhD scholars, and faculty members with a background in mathematics. The registration fee is ₹4,500 for JMI students, ₹6,500 for external participants, and ₹10,000 for industry professionals and foreign nationals. Online participants receive a ₹1,000 discount, except for NRI applicants.
