The Directorate of Education (DoE), Government of Delhi, invites applications from eligible Scheduled Caste (SC) students for the SHRESHTA scheme. This initiative, launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, aims to provide quality education to SC students by admitting them to top residential schools across India.

The DoE has issued a circular to heads of government and government-aided schools, asking them to inform all eligible students about the scheme. Schools are also instructed to encourage students to apply and participate in the National Entrance Test for SHRESHTA (NETS), which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Students currently studying in Class 8 and 10 in government schools are eligible to apply. Selection will be based on the entrance exam, and shortlisted students will receive full financial support, including tuition, lodging, and other expenses.

The application process is entirely online, and students are advised to visit the official website for SHRESHTA to register and get more information.
