Kerala takes a significant step in digital education by announcing the development of a state-owned artificial intelligence (AI) engine for schools in 2025. Led by the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), this initiative aims to revolutionize the learning experience by integrating AI-driven tools into the classroom.

- AI-powered learning: The AI engine will enhance personalized learning and improve the effectiveness of digital education.
- Extensive teacher training: Over 80,000 teachers have been trained in AI fundamentals, ensuring a smooth transition to AI-integrated learning.
- Curriculum enhancement: AI concepts are now embedded in information and communications technology (ICT) textbooks to introduce students to future-ready skills.
- Robotic kits distribution: Around 29,000 robotic kits have been distributed to schools, increasing accessibility to hands-on technology.
