The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the official AIBE 22 syllabus 2026 for the All India Bar Examination XXII. Candidates preparing for the examination can now check the subject-wise distribution of questions and use the marks weightage to plan their preparation.
The AIBE 22 syllabus covers 19 law subjects and includes 100 multiple-choice questions for a total of 100 marks. Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) with Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Code of Civil Procedure (CPC) carry the highest weightage with 10 questions each.
IPC with Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Evidence Act with Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, Family Law, and Contract Law-related subjects carry eight questions each. Law of Tort, including the Motor Vehicle Act and Consumer Protection Law, carries five questions. Other subjects such as Professional Ethics, Labour and Industrial Law, Taxation, Company Law, Environmental Law, Cyber Law, Land Acquisition Act, and Intellectual Property Laws are also included.
