Azim Premji Foundation announced the launch of the Azim Premji Scholarship for girls in Delhi (NCT) on August 27, 2026. The programme will support up to 20,000 girls in Delhi this year to continue their higher education. Each selected student will receive Rs 30,000 annually from the first year of college until completion of an eligible undergraduate degree or diploma.
Depending on the course duration, which can range from two to five years, a student can receive financial assistance of up to Rs 1.5 lakh. The scholarship amount can be used towards college fees and other education-related expenses.
To qualify, a girl student must have completed both Class 10 and Class 12 as a regular student at a government school in one of the 21 eligible States and Union Territories. She must also have secured admission to the first year of a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma programme at an institution anywhere in India.
The application process is completely online and free. Applications can be submitted only through the official Azim Premji Foundation website. The Foundation said the scholarship has supported more than 1.9 lakh girls since its launch in 2024 and aims to support up to five lakh girls across India every year.
