The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released the MHT CET 2026 CAP round 3 seat allotment results for first-year engineering admissions. A total of 1,16,690 students have been allotted seats in BE/BTech programmes across Maharashtra through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
Of the total allotments, 11,505 students have received an engineering seat for the first time, while 1,05,185 candidates have secured upgraded seats under the betterment option. The round 3 allotment also includes 9,766 students who have received seats from their first six preferences. Under the CAP rules, seats allotted from the first six preferences are auto-freezed, and candidates accepting these seats cannot participate in further CAP rounds.
Candidates who receive allotments outside their first six preferences can choose whether to retain their seats or seek betterment in the next round, subject to the applicable rules. Candidates allotted seats in round 3 must complete self-verification and online seat acceptance between August 25 and August 28, 2026. The seat acceptance deadline is August 28, 2026, up to 5 PM.
Candidates must also report to their allotted institutes between August 25 and August 28, 2026, and complete document verification and admission confirmation within the prescribed schedule.
