The University of Delhi (DU) has extended the undergraduate admission process based on Class 12 marks to nine more colleges for the 2026-27 academic session. With this expansion, a total of 35 DU colleges are now offering admission through the Class 12 merit-based route instead of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score requirement for selected programmes.
The latest list includes Indraprastha College for Women, Mata Sundri College for Women, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, Sri Aurobindo College (Evening), Motilal Nehru College (Evening), Shyam Lal College (Evening), Ramanujan College, Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, and Gargi College. These colleges are offering admissions for various BA and BSc programmes, including courses in Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Punjabi, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Polymer Science.
DU has stated that admissions through this route are subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed for each programme. Candidates have been advised to check the respective college websites for course-wise details, application procedures, and admission requirements. Students who have already secured admission in a DU college cannot apply again through the Class 12 marks-based admission route.
The university had earlier issued notices on August 20, 2026, and August 21, 2026, allowing several colleges to offer undergraduate admissions based on Class 12 merit.
