TNTET consists of two papers: Paper I for classes 1 to 5 and Paper II for classes 6 to 8. Candidates can apply for one or both papers based on their qualifications. The eligibility criteria include specific educational qualifications such as a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from a recognized institution.
The minimum age for applying is 18 years, and there is no upper age limit for appearing in the exam.
